Radiant Warmer

Radiant Warmer, is a body warming device to provide heat to the body. This device helps to maintain the body temperature of the baby and limit the metabolism rate. Heat has a tendency to flow in the heat gradient direction that is from high temperature to low temperature. The heat loss in some newborn babies is rapid; hence body warmers provide an artificial support to keep the body temperature constant. In certain areas with very cold climate, babies are kept on Radiant Warmer for couple of hours immediately after birth to ensure the baby is stabilized after birth.

LED Phototherapy

LED Phototherapy is used for treatment for jaundice, a common condition in newborn infants caused by high levels of seric bilirubin, which may cause chronic bilirubin encephalopathy (kernicterus). Jaundice newborns have yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes. This condition is common in more than 70% of the newborns. Phototherapy treatments decrease the bilirubin levels in the blood by changing the trans-bilirubin into cis-bilirubin isomer, which is water-soluble.

E.C.G

An electrocardiogram (e-lek-tro-KAR-de-o-gram), also called an EKG or ECG, is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity. To understand this test, it helps to understand how the heart works. With each heartbeat, an electrical signal spreads from the top of the heart to the bottom. As it travels, the signal causes the heart to contract and pump blood. The process repeats with each new heartbeat.

Portable X-Ray

It helps to easily manage tough cases, such as when your patient is obese or breathless, and in trauma or pediatric cases where uncontrolled patient movement is common.

Blood Gas Analyser

An arterial blood gas (ABG) test measures the acidity (pH) and the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood from an artery. This test is used to check how well your lungs are able to move oxygen into the blood and remove carbon dioxide from the blood.

Exchange Transfusion

Through exchange Transfusion , diseases such as sickle cell anemia, blood is removed and replaced with donor blood. it is also done In conditions such as neonatal polycythemia, a specific amount of the child’s blood is removed and replaced with a normal saline solution, plasma, or albumin (the clear liquid portion of blood). This decreases the total number of red blood cells in the body and makes it easier for blood to flow through the body.

OAE (Otoacoustic Emission- New Born Hearing Screening Test)

Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing is used to assess the integrity of the outer hair cells in the cochlea (inner ear). A probe tip is placed in the ear and a series of sounds are presented. No behavioral response or co-operation from the child is required. Responses produced by the cochlea are recorded and the test only takes 20-30 seconds.
